Childhood vaccination schedule (Comunidad de Madrid)

Calendario de vacunación de la Comunidad de Madrid

Madrid versionOnly applies in Community of Madrid

In other cities: Barcelona · Valencia

What it is

The Community of Madrid has a lifelong vaccination schedule which, since 2019, combines the childhood and adult schedules: it starts in pregnancy and continues through childhood and adolescence. Vaccines on the schedule are free at health centres and authorised centres of the Community of Madrid when the indication is met; vaccination is also available at Madrid City Council health centres. Children who have not received their vaccines at the recommended age, for example because they come from a country with a different schedule, follow a catch-up schedule set by the health professional. The schedule is updated: from 1 January 2026 the 12-month meningococcal C dose is replaced by the MenACWY vaccine. If in doubt, ask the professionals at your health centre.

  2. Step 2: Catch up if you come from abroad

If a child did not get vaccines at the recommended age (for example, because they come from a country with another calendar), an accelerated schedule is used; several vaccines will likely be given at once.

    Official wording
Cuando se detecta que esto ha ocurrido en niños, niñas o adolescentes, se aplican pautas aceleradas de vacunación
