What it is

València City Council runs twelve municipal first-cycle nursery schools (ages 0 to 3): Solc, Quatre Carreres, Gent Menuda, Pinedo and Diputada Clara Campoamor (directly managed) and Benicalap, Pardalets, Algirós, Mini-Poli, Mestra Empar Navarro i Giner, Sant Pau and Cabanyal-Canyamelar (contracted). You apply with the form available at the nursery itself; if you apply to more than one, you must tell each of them. For 2026-2027 the calendar was: applications 21 to 28 April 2026, provisional lists on 4 May, complaints on 5 and 6 May at the same centre, final and waiting lists on 7 May and enrolment 8 to 13 May. Points are given for, among others, siblings at the centre, proximity of home or work, per-capita income, large or single-parent family and disability. With the application you hand in copies of the documents for what you claim, and the originals on enrolment. Enrolling at more than one municipal nursery can mean losing the place at all of them. Children aged 1 and 2 must start at the beginning of the year; those aged 0 to 1, by January at the latest.
