What it is
In the València area, the SUMA tickets of the Autoritat de Transport Metropolità (ATMV) are valid on EMT, FGV (Metrovalencia), Metrobús, Renfe Cercanías and urban transport in Paterna and Sagunto. The SUMA Mensual gives unlimited travel for 30 days from first validation and is personal: it needs a personalised ATMV card. There is a youth version (SUMA Mensual Jove, Móbilis30 card) and, from 1 July 2025 to 31 December 2026, temporary discounts (40 % on SUMA Mensual and SUMA 10, 50 % on the youth pass, free for children up to 14; zone D has no discount). SUMA 10 is ten trips with transfers. The personalised card costs €4.40; request it at the ATMV office in Colón metro station by appointment (with ID and a photo) or on the ATMV website, and collect it at that office or have it posted for €1 extra. The youth Móbilis30 card can only be requested online.

Steps
Step 1: Request the card
Go to the official website: Tickets and fares (ATMV)In person, at the ATMV customer office (mezzanine of Colón metro station), with an appointment: you get it on the spot. Or online at atmv.gva.es, uploading a passport-size photo of sufficient quality.

Step 2: Collect it (if applied online)
You get an email when it is ready. You collect it at the Colón office without an appointment, first come first served, or receive it by post for €1 more; the Móbilis30 only by post.

Step 3: Load the ticket
SUMA tickets are bought at Renfe Cercanías and Metrovalencia ticket offices and machines, at kiosks and tobacconists in the ATMV network, or with the RecargaSUMA app (Android only).

How long does the free transfer last?
With SUMA 10, 90 minutes from the first validation if you travel in one zone (110, 130 or 140 minutes for two, three or four zones). With SUMA Mensual, unlimited trips and transfers.
