What it is

To access publicly promoted protected housing or the Generalitat's public housing stock you must register on the Housing Demand Register of the Valencian Community. The cohabitation unit registers (one or more people who live or will live together, related or not), represented by an adult or emancipated person habitually resident in the Valencian Community (or with temporary residence through arraigo). The unit must be in housing need (in general, no member owns or has usufruct of a home, with exceptions such as gender violence or unsuitable housing), have economic capacity not exceeding 6.5 times the monthly IPREM over 12 payments, and use the home as its habitual residence. The application is an electronic declaración responsable; registration is immediate, lasts two years and can be renewed. It is managed by the Entidad Valenciana de Vivienda y Suelo (EVha). Registering does not give a right to a home.

La inscripción como demandante de vivienda en el Registro de Demanda de Vivienda de la Comunitat Valenciana, sólo será obligatoria para acceder a una vivienda protegida de promoción pública o del patrimonio público de vivienda de la Generalitat, en cualquier modalidad y régimen de uso o acceso.

Steps

  1. Step 1: Identify electronically

    You need an ACCV certificate or Cl@ve permanente. If you lack the means, Xaloc offices, some town halls or EVha (appointment on 961 964 700) can help as representatives.

  2. Step 2: Complete the sworn statement

    You fill in the sworn statement with the details of the representative and the household.

  3. Step 3: Sign and submit

    You sign and submit the statement electronically; all adult or emancipated members must consent. Registration is immediate and automatic.

What if my details change?

Any change must be reported within one month through the modification procedure. Adding people requires the consent of all adult or emancipated members.

I already own a home, can I register?

Generally not, but yes in some cases: for example, if a judge assigned it to your spouse, if it is not accessible for a disabled member, if you are a victim of gender violence and need to move, or if rent exceeds 25% of your economic capacity.
