What it is
Chinese citizens living in Catalonia request the travel document (旅行证) in the "中国领事" app for children born abroad or of mixed-nationality couples, from the Chinese Consulate General in Barcelona. People temporarily in Spain who have lost their passport (or had it stolen, damaged or expired) and must return urgently apply in the app under the urgent travel document section and attend by appointment with the documents. People with valid residence in Spain who must return urgently for special reasons (visiting a sick relative, a funeral, signing an important contract) without a valid passport email the consulate ([email protected]), which replies or gives them an appointment ("green channel").

Steps
Step 1: Apply in the “中国领事” app
You register in the app (with any email or a Chinese mobile) and verify the account; verification can use a relative’s name and passport.

Step 2: Explain the Chinese parent’s residence
Because of the possible nationality conflict, the Chinese parent explains in the “申办旅行证补充说明” their first entry to Spain, residence changes and the permit held when the child was born. If unavailable, they can ask the police for the history (certificado de residente/residencia).

With the reply in the app, the child can apply for a visa at the China visa application centre (Madrid).

I am visiting and lost my passport
Apply in the app’s “紧急旅行证” section and go on the appointment day with photos, a copy of the lost passport, Chinese ID card, visa, return ticket and police report if you have one. Online payments are not refunded.
