What it is
In the Valencian Community you register as a job seeker with LABORA, the public employment service, at any time; if you are going to claim unemployment benefit or allowance, the deadline is 15 working days from the end of your last job. Residents aged 16 or over can register; non-EU nationals need a work authorisation (or to be legally in Spain and eligible for one). For the first registration you book an appointment at an Espai Labora online (with DNI/NIE, date of birth, first name, first surname and postcode), in the app or at Punt Labora kiosks; the calendar is for the centre matching your postcode. Bring your identity document and proof of address, and non-EU nationals a valid work or residence permit. If the available appointment is beyond the 15-day deadline for claiming benefit, go to the centre directly.

Steps
Step 1: Book an appointment
Go to the official website: Book a registration appointment (GVA)If you have never registered, book on the Punt Labora website, the app or Punt Labora kiosks. You identify yourself with your DNI/NIE and date of birth, and the system gives you an appointment at your centre according to your postcode.

Step 2: Go to the Espai Labora on the day
You go to the Espai Labora for your address; at the ticket machine you choose “Confirmar cita previa”, enter your DNI/NIE and wait for your number on the screen.

If the appointments offered go beyond the 15-day deadline, go directly to the employment centre for your address.
